Product Development Manager to Rarity Bioscience

At Rarity Bioscience we are aiming at radically improving cancer diagnostic. We are developing a technology with the power of saving people’s lives. Our journey has just started, and we hope you will join us in a key role as our Product Development Manager.  

About the role 

As Product Development Manager, you will be part of the core team contributing to Raritys success by making our liquid biopsy and mutation detection technology available to clinicians and researchers. The technology is time efficient, high sensitive and allow optimal clinical decisions at the right time to improve patient outcome.

Our assay technology is based on the groundbreaking discovery of SuperRCA (Prof. Ulf Landegren and Dr. Lei Chen) and you will be working on both assay kits for research use as well as IVD certified assays for clinical use.   

We need you to be the link between the scientific development, and the commercial application, thereby contributing to the product development by setting the requirements and overseeing the work performed. Being part of a small and fast growing company imply an agile cross functional work environment where you are in close collaboration with our team consisting of professionals within the area of molecular biology, as well as product development, quality and regulatory compliance and sales. Your work tasks will change over time and include everything from product design, product verification and validation to representing Rarity at scientific conferences. The position is at senior level and will progressively include people manager responsibility.  

Your profile 

We are looking for a mission driven person who can lead product development projects from start to finish, and who understands the process of assay design. You enjoy working with different functions, both internally and externally. We hope you have experience from a similar product journey and are eager to be part of a fast and dynamic team with high ambitions. We want you to grow with Rarity.

Qualifications 

• University degree in Molecular/Cell Biology or other relevant education, a PhD is a plus.
• Several years of experience from assay research and development, preferably IVD classified products managed in accordance with ISO 13485. 
• Ability to lead and drive product design projects.
• Skilled in methods such as qRT-PCR, fluorescent microscopy, flow cytometry.

The company was founded 2021 based on a discovery by Dr Lei Chen, PhD in molecular biology and a member of Professor Ulf Landegrens team at the Department of Immunology, Genomics and Pathology at Uppsala University.
